Importance of Drying Plastics Raw Materials

Drying plastics raw materials is essential for producing high-quality products. Proper drying ensures that moisture, which can cause defects and quality issues, is removed from the raw materials. This leads to better performance and durability of the final product. Labotek’s drying equipment is designed to achieve the highest levels of reliability, consistency, simplicity, and flexibility.

Comprehensive Range of Drying Systems

Labotek manufactures a broad spectrum of dry air drying systems tailored to specific product requirements. Our range of desiccant drying units starts from 100 m³/h and goes up to 8500 m³/h. This ensures we can meet the drying needs of diverse applications, providing solutions for both small-scale and large-scale operations. Whether handling small batches or high-volume production, Labotek has the right system to suit your needs.

Tailored Solutions and Commitment to Excellence

Labotek’s drying systems are versatile and customisable to meet different industry requirements. We are committed to continuous innovation and improvement, ensuring our equipment remains at the forefront of technology. By choosing Labotek, manufacturers invest in reliable, high-performance equipment that enhances production capabilities and ensures the highest quality standards in their products.

dryer-ddm-600x600

Labotek’s series of mobile desiccant dryers, DDM is designed for the continuous drying of free-flowing plastic raw materials in granulate form.

The DDM has been optimised for energy efficiency and is offered as a complete desiccant drying and integrated dry air conveying system to processing machines, based on a proven, reliable, and energy-saving design. The standard temperature range is 60 to 40°C with a preset tolerance of +/- 2°C.

DFM 100-200

DFD 100-200 comes with a microprocessor control type Lab-Dry, with touch-panel in color.

This series of dryers is the smallest in the Desiccant Flexible Dryer (DFD) series, designed for small to medium-sized drying requirements, and capable of drying multiple hygroscopic plastics raw materials simultaneously. The dryer features a compact footprint, making it ideal for placement near production machinery.

DF 300-450

Desiccant Flexible Dryer 300-450 Series.

DFD 300-450 has built-in frequency inverter as standard.  The dryer has an extremely small footprint, compared to the air volume achievable. Operating principles are identical to the smaller series, however the DFD 300-450 range is capable of supplying dew point down to -40°C or better.

Labotek DFD600-1700

Desiccant Flexible Dryer 600 Series.

The DFD 600 desiccant dryer is paired with one or more drying hoppers (DH), tailored to specific applications. This dryer series forms a crucial component of Labotek’s centralised drying systems.

Labotek DH15-800

The DH 15-800 L features 50 mm insulation, sight glass, and a stainless steel exterior.

For the drying of both hygroscopic and non-hygroscopic granular materials and regrind, within a temperature range of 60-180°C, this unit is heavily insulated and equipped with a built-in heating element. The interior is finished with stainless steel AISI 304.

Labotek DH15-800

The DH 1200-12,000 L features 75 mm insulation, a sight glass, and a polished aluminium exterior.

For drying hygroscopic and non-hygroscopic granular materials and regrind within a temperature range of 60-180°C, this unit is heavily insulated and includes a built-in heating element. The interior is finished with stainless steel AISI 304.
